¹² So he turned this way and that, and he saw that there was no one around. So he ^(A)struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. ¹³ Then he went out ^(B)the next day, and behold, two Hebrews were struggling with each other; and he said to the ^[a]wicked one, “Why are you striking your companion?” ¹⁴ But he said, “^(C)Who made you a ^[b]ruler or a judge over us? Are you ^[c]intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and said, “Surely the matter has become known.”
